Cooper cast in Barker's 'Midnight Meat Train'
Variety reports that Bradley Cooper is set to topline "Midnight Meat Train," based on Clive Barker's short story about murderous mayhem on the Gotham subway.
Lakeshore and Lionsgate are producing the film, with Lionsgate set to distribute the movie which begins filming this winter.
Midnight Meat Train is the opening tale of Barker's classic Books of Blood series which remains in print some thirty years after it was written. It centres on a photographer who becomes fixated on the activities of a serial killer who works his way around the New York subway.
Asian horror director Ryuhei Kitamura is set to direct, replacing Patrick Tatopoulos. Bradley Cooper ("The Wedding Crashers", "Three Days of Rain") also stars in "Case 39," a Paramount thriller starring Renee Zellweger.
