...Ahead of a much-anticipated (but as yet unfulfilled) movie version of The Thief Of Always, 2005 saw a new incarnation of Thief by IDW Publishing
as a three-part graphic novel. The short fable, first published by Clive in 1992, has found new readers over and over
again in that time, being used as a source text in schools in both the UK and US.
This adaptation is by Kris Oprisko, who recently adapted the Metal Gear Solid video game and the CSI series for the comic
market, with art by Gabriel Hernandez.
IDW Publishing released the first issue on the 30th January 2005, with collected editions of the three graphic novels released in
both soft and hardcover editions later in the year.
