September 2007 marks the 20th anniversary of the opening of the first Hellraiser movie, Clive Barker's big screen directorial debut and
a movie that challenged the late 1980s trend for stalk-and-slash horror movies. The enduring power of the
mythology of the Cenobites, the Order of the Gash, presented in the first movie has spawned seven
sequels, a series of graphic novels,
resin kits, plastic models, fan clubs, magazines, internet discussion boards, fan-made films, a veritable industry of unofficial
Lament Configuration manufacturers and even plans for a big-budget remake...
